We appreciate the recent focus on child sex trafficking on social media, but let’s make sure we’re leaning on the facts and real cases.

Nebraska Bluffs Man Charged With Sex Trafficking of Minor; Child Enticement The investigation began in the summer of 2019 after the foster parents of a 13-year-old girl found sexually explicit photos and videos on her phone. During a search of the phone, police found Facebook messages between Lozoya and the girl about smoking ‘dabs’ and having sex.

Peter Nygard seeks bail while facing sex trafficking charges in U.S. The U.S. Attorney’s Office alleges that for 25 years Canadian fashion mogul targeted women and underage girls from disadvantaged economic backgrounds with promises of modelling and financial opportunities. They say Nygard forcibly sexually assaulted many women and girls, some who were between 14 and 17 years old.
North Carolina Police charge man with human trafficking after 16-year-old girl dies of apparent OD A teenager is dead from an apparent drug overdose after police say a man held the girl against her will so he could sell her into prostitution.
