The names and personal information of the workers, who are very likely trafficking victims, have been published as well. Related: Lubbock is currently considering a revised massage business ordinance that would focus on the owners and potential traffickers, rather than potential victims and/or workers. ![]() Georgia Update on Georgia Trafficking Operation The multi-state operation has identified close to 100 potential victims, the majority of whom thought they were coming to the United States legally on H-2A agriculture worker visas. The operation was able to petition for hundreds of visas and launder the proceeds, in addition to debt bondage that victims were charged, to earn millions of dollars. Victims were held in horrific conditions for years. Pennsylvania Mennonite Farm Accused of Trafficking Young Men A year that has seen several instances of religious organizations participating in trafficking organizations has another episode, this time with a program run by the religious Mennonite order in Pennsylvania. A farm was set up for “troubled” boys who were subjected to long hours of unpaid labor, physical abuse, and threats of excommunication from the church and family. ![]() Texas the Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office has completed a multi-agency human trafficking operation involving multiple agencies that resulted in 115 felony arrests. Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office said in a press conference on Monday that the operation, called “Buyer Beware,” focused on reducing the demand which drives sex trafficking. ![]() Colorado.
