We monitor and fact-check media coverage of human trafficking and share the top cases with you from each week. A broad view of what is happening across the country can be translated into action, allowing us to collectively change the system and the public narrative. 

California Police arrested a 53-year-old man operating a brothel out of his residence. Two female trafficking survivors were found onsite and provided services.
Florida  2 men arrested for human trafficking after luring 2 women to the US from Cuba on false employment promises and forcing them to engage in commercial sex activity
Florida Man arrested for trafficking two 15-year-old girls using Snapchat and Cash App. Evidence found on victim’s phone revealed transactions were made for both sexual services and sexual images/videos of the girls.
Georgia 4 traffickers arrested after a missing 15-year-old female victim escaped from an apartment and assisted police in finding a second victim and identifying their traffickers
Idaho Retired Idaho Falls police officer and a 60-year-old woman were arrested together for human trafficking after they lured a victim from California and then forced the victim to engage in commercial sex activity
Louisiana Man arrested in Baton Rouge for keeping two female victims in debt bondage inside his apartment and forcing them to perform sexual acts with men in exchange for money
Oregon Man convicted of sex trafficking rearrested and awaiting extradition in Thailand. After being released on bail, he failed to appear for his sentencing and fled to Thailand, where he had been in hiding for more than three months.
Texas El Paso man wanted on human trafficking charges is back in the US following his arrest in Mexico
Washington 31-year-old man arrested for sex trafficking a 21-year-old female victim in Bellevue’s Factoria neighborhood. Police learned the victim had been sexually exploited in multiple states.


Michigan 3 arrested for labor trafficking a 33-year-old woman brought to the US from India under the auspices of marriage. She was forced to work long hours, 7 days a week without pay. 
Washington Man sentenced to 20 years for luring victims from Mexico on false promises of a better life and using debt bondage to exploit their labor for personal gain


Iowa Police search at a Des Moines massage parlor revealed evidence of forced labor and commercial sex activity. 3 potential victims were found in the business and 1 employee was arrested for human trafficking.
Maine New York man with ties to a Portland massage parlor was arrested on charges including aggravated sex trafficking, the investigation is ongoing 
New Mexico Owner of massage parlor arrested for promoting prostitution. Police executed a search warrant after complaints that sexual acts were being performed on customers.


California 7 Visalia massage parlors were issued closure notices for engaging in prostitution-related activities and 7 employees have been arrested as a result of the city’s recent efforts to crack down on IMB’s
New York Suffolk County Police arrested 2 potential victims for prostitution during a raid at a Huntington massage parlor
Texas Woman arrested at Stanton massage parlor for offering to perform sexual acts on an undercover officer in exchange for money 
Texas Amarillo Police Department conducted a prostitution and human trafficking operation that resulted in 10 potential victim arrests and 3 sex buyer arrests
Texas Potential victim arrested for prostitution at a Foot Spa in Spring after offering an undercover officer sex acts in exchange for money
Texas Nacogdoches police arrested 3 potential victims while serving warrants on two massage parlors suspected of illicit sexual activity


Michigan Man pleads guilty to trafficking a minor for months using online sex ads. He used violence to coerce the minor into engaging in sex acts on himself and others in exchange for money. 
Michigan Man convicted of sex trafficking a child he met at the park through online sex ads and panhandling. 
Michigan 38-year-old woman accepts plea deal after repeatedly sending a young family relative to her 60-year-old male neighbor’s house to perform sex acts
Mississippi 54-year-old California man sentenced to a lifetime in prison after he lured a woman into his car in Las Vegas and sex trafficked her across multiple states
Ohio 43-year-old man convicted for sex trafficking two minors who fled a group home in Dayton. He picked them up and drove them to Cincinnati where he forced them to engage in commercial sex using drugs and violence as methods of control. 


Florida 3 sex buyers were arrested in undercover sting operations at 2 Seminole County parks
Iowa Undercover operation at local hotel nets 7 sex buyer arrests
Michigan HSI-Led operation targeting online predators resulted in 3 men arrested for attempting to meet and engage in sex acts with children and the identification of 15 potential trafficking victims
Ohio Amherst police arrested 9 men at a North Leavitt Road Establishment after each agreed to pay for sex acts with undercover officers
Oregon During an operation targeting people involved in sex trafficking, Beaverton police arrested 2 men for promoting prostitution and 4 potential victims were provided with resources
Texas Sting operation in Texarkana leads to the arrest of 5 sex buyers, including 3 men seeking minors online


Indiana Fort Wayne couple wanted for trafficking charges in 2022 case with teen boys
New York Former Village of Brewster Police offer sentenced to 36 months in prison for providing protection to members of a prostitution business and a sex trafficking organization
Pennsylvania Police officer nears the end of his 3,100-mile cross-country run wearing a 15-lb weighted vest to raise awareness for human trafficking victims and survivors
Virginia Former FDIC attorney sentenced for sexually exploiting children for years. He produced and disseminated child sexual abuse material and his electronic devices were found to contain 172,707 images of suspected CSAM. 
Wyoming Founder of Libertas International, honored by the Colombian government for helping rescue hundreds of girls from illegal sex tourism
