Alaska: Mother Sold 5-Year-Old DaughterUnfortunately traffickers can be the very people and family members that children trust to keep them safe. In the case of one young girl, her mother knowingly sold her for sex and the buyer later murdered the girl. Both buyer and mother have been arrested.
Alaska: Anchorage Man Arrested for Trafficking Children An Anchorage man sheltered two runaway teenagers and then forced them to sell sex in exchange for that housing and shelter. He has been sentenced to 35 years and permanent supervision upon release.
